  2. My classmates poems were very well done. Some put more work in then others did but they all were good and creative. A lot of the poems had similar things, such as their hair of what they do. What I learned about people from the poems is mostly everyone has something they wants to be.

  3. What stood out to me from the classes poems today was that they were very thoughtful and they revealed something no one knew about them.
I noticed that everyone had a side no one else knew of in everyone's poems.
We learned that everyone is different from one another in their in own way.
The poems connect to the lesson of yin yang because there's a dark side and a light side to everyone.

  4. Some of my classmates' poems were surprising, do to the fact that I hardly know them. It was eye opening to hear some of the things that were said in the poems. Most people told about the persnality that they had but didn't show . Overall the connections of the poems and yin yang is accurate . It is an example of what yin yang is . Like how people can have a side that they show , but then also have a side that they don't. At the end of the day, that person is still one person.

  5. What stood out from my classmates poems was how they felt about their self and how much passion they had with it.
The connections I made between the poems by one of my classmates saying that it was strange or you had to be strange just to fit in.
We learned that people have different backgrounds and are hardworking and ambitious to their dreams.
The poems connected to the yin yang overall by the students well my classmates comparing their childhood self to them being a young adult male/female, being creative and at the same time being shut down for being weird.

  7. What stood out from my classmates poems was how well they did on the assignment. I loved how they each took the time to right their true feeling is about their selves. I can relate to this because I also have two sides my personality. I am different in each environment I enter. From the poems today, we learned that each students have strengths and faults, but no one is perfect. The poems relate to the yin Yang lesson by how each student has a good and bad side to them, but we are still humans

One thing that stood out to me was how there was a big gap in between the people who wanted to go. Then after them we had to wait like two minutes for someone to get up. One theme that I noticed was that most people do not like public speaking. One thing I learned was that a lot of people have good and bad sides to them. These poems connect to the yin yang because many people have diffirent sides to them or they change as they get older.

  9. The things that people said about themselves stood out to me and in plus there was a lot of emotional poems too.I can relate to some of the poems because there are some things that i have in common with some of the other kids.We learned that some people are quiet, shy, goofy, and playful. It connects to the yin yang because it shows peace and not a lot of war or hard things that people are going through.

  10. I felt as though my classmates poems were all unique and came from the heart which I can respect. The real connection I saw today was that for the most part people really opened up to the class and were all brave for standing in front of the class and presenting. The thing I learned from my classmates and from ying and yang is that there are always two sides weather to a story or a person.

  11. What stood out the most from my classmates poems was that they went deep into the task to talk about their inner selves or anything that they wouldn't normally share with just anyone. I can connect that all the poems were about their past and present. We learn that everything is not what it seems just by looking at them. By that I mean you never really know about a person until they open up to you. Overall these poems connected to the lesson "yin yang" because each and everyone that read , shared about two sides of their selves.

  12. I stood out because my poem was about me. Most of them poems had the same words. I learned a lot of things that I did not know about my classmates. This poem connects to the yin yang because there are sides we see from people then some sides we do not see.

  13. What stood out to me the most is just knowing how all my other classmates really feel in different circumference. And how all my classmates have different emotions from each other. We learned as a class about these poems that everybody go through things in life, but always keep your head up. The yin yang overall connected me and my classmates because the poems took us out of our character, we had to be ourselves in the way we feel to each other & how the poems gave me a different view of my classmates in and out of school.

  14. I liked how people were open. I liked in my class who people did not judge other people or say mean things. I like who some painted and made you think about life in general.

  15. When I was listening to my classmates read their poems out loud, I think the way everybody read their own poem stood out. For example, some people read with their head down, some read loud and confident, some read like they were indifferent and others read their poem like public speaking came so natural to them. The way each person read their individual poem showed their personality. Mostly everyone who read their poem ended it in a way that shows their ambition. I learned that some people are really shy but actually have many talents or qualities that they never show. Overall, the poems related to the the lesson of the yin yang symbol because today, we saw that there really is two sides to a person, whether its two very different sides or similar sides.

  16. the poems showed us that we all had atleast a couple of things in common we've all been through thing we all precieve ourselfs a littledifferent but closely related way to whom we actually are. we learned that while most people have trouble writting down how they really feel and who they really arem, its a little easier for them to share after the fact. Its connects because the two way ways we are seen(by ourselfs) and (by others) are diifferent but the same in and of theirselfs

  17. I think what stood out to me the most about my classmates' poems was that mostly everyone described their inner selves to be very ambitious. I sensed the theme of wisdom: knowing how to act and how not to act in certain situations. For example: when talking about themselves they would let loose and say how bright and interactive they are but also when it comes to working hard and getting good grades they don't fool around. That was very admirable. I learned from these poems that we all are trying our best to succeed and that the elements... or traits that we have or that we contain are balanced within us. Like yin and yang we are at peace with ourselves.

  18. What stood out most to me about my classmate's poems is that people revealed a side of them that doesn't meet the eye. I had some of the same traits as some, but we described it more on a personal level. I learned I don't know all about a person if don't want to open up. This is similar to the yin yang because of code-switching, how you can have two different sides to you.

  19. What stood out most to me about my classmates today was that everybody was sympathetic and people told us things that you would never know they struggled with. A lot of the poems were about self esteem and how people revealed themselves to the world. I could relate because some people said how they are really happy on the outside but really they have secrets, the past and so many other things that they're good at hiding and I'm good at hiding my pain. I learned that even the people that come off as perfect or good have alot of things they deal with and fitting in and their self image is a big part of that. The poems connect to the lessons of the Yin Yang because we all showed that they're are two sides of us today wether its good or bad, the past or the present or maybe just somebody we are now but we want to be better.

  20. What stood out most to me today was the fact that everybody aren't who they show they are, like for me for an example, my true self the side I choose not to show is Demonic because i know i would stand out of the crowd and i might really hurt somebody, but that's not what i want to show. As you can see i have very complete opposite sides from me. The connections i can make towards other people poems are that they show who they want others to see and not their true selves which most people consider that being fake towards your self, your life. Today i learned that people don't like showing their true selves because of other peoples judgments. These poems connects to the "Yin Yang" lesson because it shows the two sides people have, The sides others don't know about but scared to show, the side that changes your actions towards life.

  21. What stood out to me today was that my classmates were very passionate about their poems. I think the theme for a lot of them were life and feelings. The one thing I learned from these poems about my classmates is that, they all want to be great. All of them want to be successful, and I wish them all the best. These poems can relate to the Yin-Yang because it shows two sides of someone's character. Life isn't easy and our personalities has to deal the changes, that's how humanity is so interesting.

  22. What stood out most to me was the wild feelings in each poem.i can tell that people took their time to really express their feelings.today I learned that people have a good and bad side of life.lastly this is related or have connections to the yin yang because it's a symbol that show two different sides of things.

  23. What stood out to me the most is the fact that every poem had some kind of powerful twist in it.The imagery, metaphors ,and personification being used help create a visual picture of a classmate that was reading. There that some of my classmates used were very meaningful. The emotions of the poems help me relate to them. It was amazing and interesting to find out what people thought or considered about themselves. Also I felt as if these poem brought us closer as a class some what family and this helps is better understand each other. I learned that not every body are who they are when you look at them. This kind of reminds me of the saying " you can't judge a book by its cover" you don't really know a person. I also learned things that I didn't know about my classmates. I liked how every one opened up to each other and the fact that we can relate to ones thoughts. This connects to the yin-yang lesson because there were two sides a person. Many of my classmates revealed the two sides of them and it just made me thank about wilhich side they were or were they both of the sides explained in their poems.

  24. What stood out to me the most today was everybody told something about themselves they wouldn't any other day. I felt safe in my classroom I felt as though I could say anything. This connects to the yin yang because it shows the two sides of you. One that everybody sees and one only you see

  25. Typically, most people avoid expressing themselves in a way that doesn't meet the standards of today's social trends, but I am more than impressed with the way that the class vocalized and embraced their feelings without the fear of opinion. No matter how each individual poem went, I think each person deserves praise for their confidence of speaking in a public environment and representing themselves in a way that, in most cases, would of never happened in the first place. It's easy to compare this project to the "Yin-Yang" symbol, and how everyone has a different side of them that they do not show to the world and yet it still exists.

  26. Listening to my classmates read their poems aloud suprised me of who they truely are. I could connect with the way some people believed to have acted on the outside but be totally different within their inner selfs. I learned new things about my classmates and what they thought of themselves. These poems overall connect to the ying yang because it compares and contrasts your inner and outter self. Which may be completely different some can be good and some bad.
